It looks like A&E is finally putting the complete first season of Nero Wolfe out on DVD. A&E doesn't have their web site ready to pre-order them but you can get the set cheaper at DeepDiscountDVD.com anyway. A&E said the set would be ready to ship June 10th. Satisfactory!
shareMAke sure that you purchase the version that has the "Collector's Edition" yellow sticker on the cover. The other editions leave out storylines essential to the plots! If you have bought the other version, A&E will exchange it for you if you send it back.
shareThe complete series on DVD (8 DVD Boxed set) including Golden Spiders was released earlier this week. You might want to check into that. It's a much better deal than buying the Season 1 then Season 2 DVD sets. The complete is about half the price of the separate seasons.

I'm watching this series now for the first time. I wanted to see how Timothy Hutton would compare to his father in a detective series. I'm also a huge fan of retro-30s, 40s, and 50s mystery series (well, the ones I've seen).
Very...stylish show. A bit too "tough guy pulp" for me, but that's okay. Not all mysteries are country house style.
Tim Hutton = almost as good as his dad in a detective series.
