Emma's Powers

I like this show purely for what it is, outrageously campy fun.

But while they seemed to clearly define Shal, Jesse and Brennans powers, I just didn't like how they categorised Emma was a "telempath", basically combining telepathy and empathy.

Because throughout the show, she basically had whichever psionic power the scene required her to have.

I wish they kept it simple with her simply being an empath, and instead of occasionally reading minds she purely could sense and manipulate emotions.

Though Emma's non-pathokinetic abilities were clearly the result of bad writing, I kinda liked the end result. She was one of the most powerful mutants on the show, and her powers were steadily growing; it wasn't too great a leap in logic for her to have developed psionic powers which transcended her designated ability.

A Superman without trunks isn't worth watching or reading about.
