Music featured in Season 15, Episode 7: Builth Wells

Hi All,

I am an Australian viewer of bargain hunt, and I know this is probably an odd question but I was wondering if anyone could give me the name of a song that was played in this episode toward the start of the auction. It doesn't sound like it has any lyrics in it but the tune is something like "duh duh duh da da duh duh duh" and it repeats throughout the whole song (I think). I've heard it twice on two different episodes now and it is really bugging me! I have tried looking up the music featured in the bargain hunt episodes but can't find anything dating back this far. Any help would be great! Thanks!

P.S. Even if someone knows of or has a list of the featured music from this ep that would be just a good!

Hi Scully & Mulder

I am also an Australian viewer of the show, and I know which piece of music you are referring to - but I don't know the name of the song nor the group that performs it. I think it dates from the early 1960s, but again am not 100% sure.

Like you it has been driving me mad - I've heard it on Bargain Hunt and many other times - it was in an Australian advert a number of years ago - and I like the tune.

I wasted hours trying to Google the song and in Youtube, but came nowhere even close.

If you have any luck with the title or artist, please let me know and I will do the same.

I believe I have found the song you are after - it is called "Swinging Safari".

This instrumental was a hit in 1962 by the late Bert Kaempfert, and American musician Billy Vaughn also recorded the song.

Hope this is of assistance.

That's fabulous. What a happy ending.
There's also a flute tune they use in the show that I've been chasing for years.
And would you believe, I'm from Australia.
