Yet another DUMB Anti - SERBIAN movie...

The plot says:

"A film crew travels to the Austrian Alps near the (former) Yugoslav border to film three extreme sports enthusiasts being chased down by an avalanche for a commercial. What they don't know, however, is that they're filming near the secret hideout of Slobodan Pavle, a Serbian war criminal. Accidentally catching him on film, they become locked in a life-or-death chase through the mountains that includes skiing, snowboarding, sky diving, white water rafting, helicopters, motorcycles, and base jumping."

Yeah, right. Why would a "Serbian war criminal" hide "near the (former) Yugoslav" border??? What country is closes to Austria of the Former Yugoslav republics? Slovenia. I doubt Serbian "war criminals" are hiding in Slovenia.

Nice name too..."Slobodan Pavle". Basically, they took TWO Serbian first names and put them together. Serbia has NO white thrash names, a la Billy Bob. Jelena Dokic, Predrag Stojakovic, Vlade Divac, Dragan Stojkovic, Zeljko Raznatovic "Arkan", Slobodan Milosevic...those are what Serbian names are like.

And also, there's some "terrorist plot" to the movie, cause it would be pretty boooooring if the Serbian "war criminals" were just hiding there, disturbing nobody. Obvioulsy, there's a nuke involved or something like that. Like "Peacemaker", where a Serbian tried to smuggle a nuke into New York and detpmate. Riiiight. Serbs are NOT terrorists. Never been, never will be.

Maybe Hollywood should make more movies with Arab/Muslim terrrosts...considering 11/9 and all.

i consider raping, torturing and murdering to be terrorism, so yes, serbs are terrorists. i don't argue that this movie looks so ridiculous that it hardly warrants being discussed. yes the movie is pointless, full of plot holes and stupid inpossible stunts. but it was racist of you to say 'maybe hollywood should make more movies about muslim terrorists.' you're obviously a serb so you would say that. but you didn't have to. and in the peacemaker, even tho the serbs were terrorists, the movie sympathized with them because the main terrorist's kid was murdered or something along those lines and he was just getting revenge. just because 'extreme ops' looks beyond stupid, it doesn't mean you have to go propogate your hatred of muslims using the stupidity of this movie as an excuse.

Let me make something clear. Nationality doesn’t define terrorism. A little too much CNN kitties? If we are to look at facts we may realize ironically enough that the U.S. is then one and only country in history to be charged with terrorism…ever. Also the only country officially target children in a military strike, officially use truck bombs and officially target civilians. Is this justifiable? I will leave that up to you scenes i don’t feel like getting into alllll the gritty details and sides and what not. I personally say no I myself am against the mass killing of civilians especially when the mass number of them where children in most cases. The worlds a horrible place….and this movie isn’t helping.

What i was saying about the US being terrorist was making a point. And the people to charge it with terrorisim was the World Court and over 30 security counsils who used internatinal law as their guid (somthing the US gets mad if anyone but themsels break) anyway i was making a point to say people arn't terrorists terrorists are terrorists and so forth.

Your comment about the Serbs being terrorists is as shallow as it was Mike's comment on Arabs. It seems that the Serbs are taking over the role of the bad guys Russians have had for the last 50 years. In the end, who cares. Anyone who uses his brain for its purpose considers Hollywood as the Crapywood that makes 95% of the $hity movies we see. As Americans love to say, "Dude, it's an entertainment!"

Well... are all Iraqi terrorists? Pakistani, Afghan, Iranians, etc etc... It's not necessarily the nationality/civilians in general. It's select individuals as well as most of the government officials... in Serbia. Serb officials (not all Serbs) practiced genocide on Albanians in Kosovo.... that's a little evil if I say so.

let me clarify sth here it's easy really

the Hollywood producers, writers etc. take whoever the US are on war with and put them as the villain in their films e.g.

Serbia around 95'-99'

the Arabs (practically since 77')

the Russians during the cold war

etc.

i'm certain that if the US were on war with the UK then people like Johnny England and Donald McDonald would be the primary villains of their movies

it doesn't matter if the war is justified or not Hollywood is in the US and it "supports" whatever it is "asked" to (anyone could tell you that)

so don't go arround telling oooh noes we're portrayed as bad guys in this hollywood film, it's american everyone is a bad guy except the Joe Smoe american good guy

P.S. there is no Kusturica or any Subjectivity in Hollywood

Interesting that you are annoyed by one stereotype yet you quickly jump to stereotyping another group of people yourself.

I agree that the movie itself is absolute rubbish. Austria does not border 'Yugoslavia', it's Slovenia and that a Serbian war criminal would hide in any of those countries is ridiculous.

The fact is, a Serbian war criminal doesn't even have to leave Serbia. This is a country that protects and hides such monsters.

Yeh, i watched too much CNN. I watched that bit where they showed the Serbs mass executing Albanians on the side of the street. I saw that bit where they were taking pot shots at school kids playing soccer. And i saw that bit where they were saluting like a bunch of fascist psychopaths as if it were the 1930s. I'd rather be mates with those American "terrorists" any day.

Elite_Emerald_Erosion, you sure know loat about bottom. I'll tell you what: you go there, and stay there, because that's where your place is. And to make things clear for the upper posters, your (american) propaganda was very strong at the time. There is a picture where bunch of drunk savages holds the head of young man, and in american press was presented as "Serbian terrorists". It turns out that the boy from the picture is a 15 years old Slavoljub Djordjevic, who was killed by the people from the picture, members of so called UCK (or KLA). Not only Slavoljub was killed that day, but also his younger sister Maria, Mother Slavica and Father Nikola. Ofcourse, it was so well done by CNN, just like it's shown in "Wag The Dog" (just watch the movie, it'll be clear). Too much people still thinks that Serbs are head cutters etc. The people that took part of Serbian country (thanks to you and your presidents), are allready attacking american administration on Kosovo, and that's just a begining.

First of all, i hate history. Any history. Especialy Serbian, it's toooooo long for me. I prefer American history. There are few pages worth reading, and that's it. So, yes...we love to hear from you guys.

And i don't think you've been "(t)here". I think you are very eloquent little liar. Or do you talk about Kosovo? If you do - i agree. Everybody is racist on Kosovo. Serbs, Albanians, and all the bleeping military they've send over there. I hate all of Kosovo people, and i hope that the Croatia will get independence over it one day (i mean, we all had Kosovo once, right? Why not Croats?)
