Extreme Ops DID NOT suck!!

If all of you gits think this movie sucked SO bad, why are you wasting your time posting about it? I loved this movie to bits and watched it everyday. I read all of the things on this message board and counted about FOUR that said this movie was good. I'm sure there's TONS more who think it was awsome.

Devon Sawa has got to be one of the best actors I've ever seen, and I spend alot of time watching movies. The actor who played Silo, and the actress that played Kittie were also really great. He was such a cute funny guy, and she was like what I want to be.

Hate the movie? DON'T GO ON AND ON ABOUT IT!! Forget about it! I hated triple X, and all I did was say I didn't like it, and never said another word about it. So suck it up and grow a backbone. There's going to be movies you'll hate, others would love them enough to buy one copy to watch and one copy to keep forever. When you insult the movie, you also insult the person who loves it, and it hurts.

Ok, first of all, I talk about it because I run a review site based on bad movies I have seen. I explain why I don't like the movies. Why can we not say why we don't like this movie but you can say why you do like the movie?

Second, the acting was bad, the special effects were horrible and outdated, and the story line was very boring. Devon Sawa isn't a bad actor but this made him seem like he was. The characters were so cheesy that I laughed out loud at this movie through most of it, while trying to figure out what the hell was going on through the action scenes.

Me insulting this movie has nothing to do with you unless you made the movie or are in the film. To say that insulting something that someone likes insults them means to say that you can not have any opinion unless it is positive. Sorry, but my opinion doesn't change about this movie. It was crap on film.

I didn't see "The Wedding Planner" for Jenny Lopez, I watched it for Judy Greer. Hot, sexy, & cool!

Well, as principle I agree with eldarwen completely. Overdoing badmouthing is non-constructive and very bad critisism. But what I wanted to reply to wasn't that, it's the endsentence "When you insult the movie, you also insult the person who loves it, and it hurts. ".
So what you're saying is that you deliberately and intentionally insulted me, personally? You wrote that you hated triple X and I liked it alot, ergo, you insult me? That is very weird logic to me...
In the same way that those viewers who dislike movies can chose not to see them, viewers that love them can chose not to read reviews that badmouth them...

I don't like to spend time and money on a film that may have marginal interest, so I was very happy there were a large number of comments on aspects of the film which demonstrated this was not the film for me. "Going on about it" is the essence of a film review or critique. I can understand how you might feel that it personally injures you (You can't imagine how much crap I endured in my defense of Matt Damon's mastery in The Talented Mr Ripley!) but you must develop a thicker skin and not a fatter one as Sawa has done.

OK, was this movie great? No. I got it at blockbluster for 5 bucks because it was about snowboarding, and I'd vaguely remembered hearing about it when it came out.

PLAIN AND SIMPLE, if you're not into snowboarding or skiing, then this movie is not for you. The actual plot is weak, and the sudden introduction of terrorists to the storyline is done superficially and hastily. But if you're into snow sports, as I am, then you will enjoy this movie if only for the action sequences.

But I agree, besides that and the hot Bridgette Wilson, this movie has nothing going for it.

reply

the movie was allright...the storyline wa s litle weak but the action shots were good and inovative.( the trian scene in particular)

Jana Pallaske ( Kittie) was hot as well as Bridgette Wilson.

That's cause you're a douche, did you alternate from this joke of a movie to XXX??? probably so. This movie made snowboarding and skiing look lame, I've been sking my whole life and guess what, never again. Your the reason why terrible movies like this one get made, cause you'll swallow any load that hollywood blows you. I hope you like the new movie that's coming out soon it's called Anaconda, and if you hurry you can make it a double feature to the Grudge, im sure you'll think that knock off is great as well.

oh and that train scene, The first one where the skate goes through the billboards mouth, takes the spot of the cheesiest thing i've ever seen, as well as that stupid snowboard scene. This movie is rediculous, and as much fun as the crow to laugh at, The only reason i'd watch it is to mystery science theatre 3000 it.

reply

This movie is hilarious!! Except it would've been better if they were secret agent snowboarding SPIES!!!

reply

Spence, you are the biggest douche ever! You are a lame-ass momo who doesn't know his head from his ass. Go rub one out to The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again and get the hell off this board!

This movie was a terrible, terrible, travesty, it was a running cliché. I borrowed this for free off my roommate and yet still I feel cheated out of the 15 minutes I watched before shutting this off. The scene when "Silo" (cool name! except instead of cool, try absolutely retarded). This movie was just a last gasp attempt to latch on to the "X-treme" craze that people were dumb enough to buy into. Harold and Kumar makes fun of this type of movie exactly with the "x-treme" guys. I mean, I knew it would be bad, but funny bad, like Freddy vs Jason or something, but it was just trash. I am personally offended that people who like this movie (or bought it, like my roommate) are even allowed to exist.

This is probably the worst movie I've seen in years, and I have seen alot of bad movies.
The "extreme" scenes in this film is so badly done! Who the *beep* snowboards behind a train? And how is that possible with all the wires running alongside the train?
And the scene where they jump off the hotelroof and into the bar, you can almost see the wires. Extreme Ops has got so many bad scenes and *beep* acting.. They couldn't even get their clothing right for this movie.. Only black people ski in jeans because they don't know any better. A skilled snowboarder (snowboarders use alot of time on their butt) would know that he'd get soaking wet and ice cold if he wore jeans.

My point is:
If you want to see a skimovie, why don't you rent a skimovie, not Extreme Ops.
Extreme Ops is like watching a porn flick for the plot.

Probably the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. Though I have to say, when I watched it some years ago, I was kind of fascinated how much it sucked and did NOT leave the cinema! Actually, it was somehow amusing. Still, it's unbelievable. Wonder why poor Heino Ferch played in that sh*t ...

reply

Um... couldnt you guys tell that eldarwen and all the other guys who liked it are joking?
It's just a joke! Everyone knows nobody could like this movie except for its comedic elements. Backflips on a skateboard without even an ollie?, "Yeah, and i'm ready to rock?", Bigger Band?, You can brag to your friends about how your girlfriend is in a commercial?, the fakest, most hilarious "X-treme" stunt scenes? HA! this movie was hilarious! The only way it could have been better is with alot of pointless gratuitous nudity.

this movie was not so bad as to reserve 4/10 i'm sure that anyone who likes snowboard will watch pleasantly

the plot is not that great but the acting is pretty dissent and it has a lot of action

(plus i really like Jana Pallaske:-)

reply

Hey eldarwen count me in, I'm the fifth one. I loved it! I think it was great. The action scenes were really good especialy the ones with Silo and Kittie and it was funny too. I can't understand why you are underrating this movie that bad? Anyway that's very subjective.

reply

It's not really that bad of a movie, it's just not very good. I mean, it's a very entertaining movie, but the plot does suck terribly, and the ending isn't very good, but for what it's worth I enjoyed it and watched it more than once.
