Should have won a razzie. How bad was she in this. I couldnt hear her because she was mumbling so much. Bad enough movie but she was so bad I actually feel like I have to come on here and bag her.

There is something about Tara...It's not the booze i.e. easy to score...She has something and it's not just lust...Although I would love to *beep* her!!! She's got a hook. She's not a great actress, but not the worst. She reminds me of girlfriend I had....maybe thats the problem...LOL. She's just hot.

share I thought she was just wrong for the part. I think she's too much a party girl to play a serious, upper-crust, journalist wanna-be girl. Maybe it's because I know her personal story, and have seen her out on the scene, partying in LA. But to me, she doesn't come off as preppy at all. Someone like Selma Blair would have been a better pick.

Amen to that. Tara Reid seemed more flipped out on drugs than any of the party animals Van Wilder knew. And no love interest shown until the end. Animal House had better writing, and used the imagination of a movie without obeying the rules like Van Wilder did to graduate. I blame the dull writing on computer fueled illiteracy.

I had no trouble catching her dialogue, but I was using headphones.
Her acting skills are not that bad. She did an excellent fluff headed drummer in "Josey and the Pussycats". I swear I could hear the wind whistling through her head.
Her character did evolve - slightly - from the tightly wound collegiate to the Wilder side.
It's too bad that her medical issues led her to self medicate. Neuropathy is a bummer.
saw the movie for the first time the other day to and came here to comment on her voice....it sounded in several scenes like her voice was dubbed....like after the scene they realized you couldn't understand what she was saying so they just did a voice over instead of re-shooting the entire scene.
all of that said.....hot hot hot........
So bad, seriously awful actress in general (can't think of one stand out performance) but this was the worst!

Tara actually looked really hot in this but I've always wondered how the producers managed to hide her half fake leg? I guess camera angles and soft lenses can perform magic.

I Love Ryan and I like the movie but she makes me not want to watch it. I don't hate her or anything but in this role she was terribly miscast.
She just is not that likable in the movie for Van to fall for her. I couldn't believe that he would fall for her with all the other hot girls around
Tara is a lovely actress and really saved this movie. She's cut from the old mould, and I think her critics just don't get her. She's way ahead of her time, in her acting methodology. And cute as a button! :-)
