this game was good to a point

I got near the end then found out that you had to go on this stupid key quest to get to the last boss. This game could have been so much better. The first one is better

Actually Turok: Dinosaur Hunter WAS a key quest, still their both good games but the first one had a more jungle feel than the second which had more variety.

reply

that may be true but I got to a point near the end with the second game and found out that I needed to find all these keys that I had no idea where they were or how to get them even with a guide. The first game was so much better

reply

I liked it, I always did love backtracking, I love the feeling of being stuck than thinking 'wait, that place I couldn't go before, I think my new power up can help me get across' and being right is always fun for me. I found out about the keys when I remember that place where you had to 'fly' in the first level, so I didn't go through what you did.

I'm glad this game wasn't straight forward. Such a great game, best in the series. These need to be remade!

reply

no it doesn't need to be remade. Let it remain as is, a remake would ruin it, besides are graphics really such a big deal, the game still looks amazing after all these years.

But most of our N64s are dead... and my luck with emulators is bad.

What ever happened to taking care of your console, I still have a SNES that works fine and project 64 works like a charm. If that doesn't work, then Nintendo can release it on the VC.

reply

Can Nintendo release it onto the VC? Isn't Turok owned by those guys who turned it into a space marine game on PC, XBOX 360 and PS3? I'd like it on VC for sure.

reply

I think the company that made it got shut down. So now who knows.

Turok 2 was the best. It actually had a storyline... a plot. You were told what's going on, what's happen, where to go, and what to do. The soundtrack was very much improved, the Lost Lands was given a history and the enemies were a lot tougher as well, like the last boss... something Turok 1 was missing. There were also two different endings.

But just because you couldn't do something right, that it got hard for you is the reason why you think the first one is better???? What a Fing moron...
