Great Monologues

This movie has its strengths and weaknesses, but I think 2 of its strengths occur back-to-back: Scott Bairstow’s monologue as Miles, telling Winnie their origin story becoming immortal, watching his wife and children leave him and die afterwards, while he went on living.

In the next scene, William Hurt’s Angus Tuck explains to Winnie that because the Tucks cannot die, they aren’t really living; they’re not a part of the circle of life, if you will.

These 2 scenes stick out to me as highlights in a “worth watching once” kind of a movie.
