Funny, I just finished rewatching the movie after the longest time. And I have to admit that I gag when I heard those lines, and then I realized that the Tucks never die and I couldn't help but feel all tingly inside :)

That was such a powerful scene. The look on Jesse's face as he drove away from Winnie with his family in the pouring rain... it was enough to bring me to tears.

We're not free. Circumstance is what controls me, just like everyone else.

I think that line was put in the movie by mistake but they decided to leave it in.
