Very loud.

I just caught this movie on Hulu, it was a decent movie, however what’s with the incredibly annoying music on this movie? Every time there was a break in the dialog they would crank up the background music to excessively loud levels! HOW IRRITATING!! I spent half the movie turning the volume down. Hell sometimes the music was even playing OVER the dialog… If I was watching this in a theater I would have got up and walked out after 30 minutes. Just to clarify, its not the music itself, it the fact that its excessive and constantly blaring in your ears!

I’m no expert on movie making or sound editing but isn’t the sound track of a movie supposed to highlight the film rather than dominate it? If you’re segueing between one scene to the next I get that you might use some background music in there to fill the dead space, but it should be done in such a way that you accomplish this task without the audience even noticing the music is there.
