Brilliant soundtrack...though ts?

I know a lot of people hated this movie but I liked it. The best part, for me, was the score by Javier Navarrett, which I thought was brilliant. I recently found the score on Ebay (not cheaply!) but it was worth it, one of the best scores I've ever heard. I am not otherwise familiar with this composer, but his work puts the overblown composers like John Williams and Hans Zimmer and so forth to shame. Watch the final scene, as the camera pulls up and off of Mars...one of the best musical cues ever in my opinion, and left me breathless.
Shame the soundtrack and its composer got virtually no recognition.

i agree. good score. i didnt pay much attention to it till they were walking trough the alien buiding. but it was very good there, the suspence was incredible, in a mvie that for the first half was quite bad.

Good score, lousy mixing. I couldn't hear the dialogue half the time because the music drowned it out.

I disagree, I thought the music was played down to much in the mix :(
