interesting concept

It may have felt like a typical "stranded" movie plot, but I thought it wasn't so bad. Yes, the acting (especially in the first half) was very weak. I don't know if it is the acting as much as the screenplay, though. And some of the actors were okay (Almeida is good). And yes, it did feel like they were dubbing over the actors (were they? this is a Spanish movie, so maybe...).

But if you can get beyond that, it provides some neato food for thought. I think, for example, it would be cool to see what happens next. They could have spent more time on the end part, explaining what they are going to do now that they are all stranded (start over? or just live out their lives till they die?).

So, I guess I think there were two interesting elements to this movie:

1) How they handle being stranded (they could have done a slightly better job here, since their solution felt like it came too immediately, was contrived, etc.)
2) How they handle after finding what they find, and living there (they could have expanded on it).

I think this is a candidate for a remake by Ron Moore.
