Because Vincent Gallo, the chick from Pulp Fiction (with the "pote belli"), and the guy from Clear and Present Danger (the machine's still on Moira") are all talented actors. In a strange way it was almost like watching two of the same movie at once. Watching one of the three above mentioned actors interact with the director and that blonde dude was surreal. Two dimensions occupying the same space. In that sense, Stranded was a major breakthrough in cinema.
