why was no one smoking it?

I have some experience in the methamphetamine scene due to being a former user and being a friend of users, and by far the most popular way to do the drug was smoking it (out of a "tweak pipe")...there was that brief part in which "Cookie" smoked some off aluminum foil but I haven't really seen anyone do it. Either that or people would bang it, i.e. inject it intravenously.

I was one of the only people I knew who's preferred method was snorting, perhaps because it hurts like a b/tch to snort meth & does a lot of damage to your nose over time. I just thought it seemed strange that snorting seemed to be the predominant method of using the drug in this film (and also in "The Salton Sea" IIRC, also about meth)

Maybe because snorting seems the most "bad" to the audience? The only thing I can think of that you snort is drugs. I've no idea tho.

In the 90's here in Australia (medium-sized regional city) you either ate it or shot it - no-one smoked or snorted. And back then it was usually just plain amphetamine, not methamphetamine. Nowadays with the meth (ice) everyone smokes it.

I noticed that, as well. The only drug that gets smoked on foil is heroin, (as far as I'm aware), although you can do crack that way, as it runs.
I got confused over which drugs were being taken, once I saw the foil and saw Spider banging up, I thought they were trying to come down with gear. Loved the film, though!

Well. Jonas Ã…kerlund is a swede and we in Sweden we either snort or inject our speed. Sure, it's just plain amphetamine but that's how we roll and I think it's just a cultural thing.

But why oh why doesn't anyway grind the crystals to a powder? Hurts waay less and hits the blood stream faster.
