most underated movie ever

i agree that it is underrated, a great deal

it has a wonderful tone to it, and sends me into a sortof wistful mood, the kind that makes me almost feel like i was *IN* the movie with the characters. not many have that effect on me. and i thought the movie had lots of austerity, poignancy; those are my key traits i adore in a film, and as i said, they are rare these days

i'd say it is the kind of movie that hits dreamers where it counts. and it was well done on top of everything. and of course ian holm was very endearing. i've seen him in other things but he really caught my empathy with this.

(and the plot was engaging, so the movie never lulled, never bored me)

yes i'd say this is a winner. (and it shows we don't need sex and bad language to be captivating with a movie)
