About Stockard Channing's scene

was I the only one who was touched? When Stockard Channing's character crumbled a little on camera when her former fiance was mentioned? It was a touching scene for me and for some reason, it made me sad for her.

One of the most memorable moments for me in this film and I didn't even like it all that much. It was okay, in a so-so kind of way. Angelina is better for me kicking butt on Tomb Raider.

It was great acting for Miss Channing, especially for such a short scene.

I think I liked Stockard Channing better in "Grease" or in "To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar"

Hard to believe Stockard is a senior citizen (65 years old)

No, you weren't the only touched by that scene. It was a very touching scene.
Angelina had tears in her eyes also. She was going through the same thing.

She was making a LIFE CHANGING DECISION (Should I leave the man I love for the dream job of a lifetime?), at that time, and the question was very difficult to ask. Remember how long she thought before asking. I think she respected Stockard Channing and thought she might receive a reply from someone, perhaps wiser and more experienced than herself, to help her make this decision. However, she probably could have picked a better time and place to ask such a personal question. But, that was the burning question in her life, at that moment, and she was shocked when Stockard Channing said "go" and Angelina's character thought she meant it "like in you go girl" and she said "no, just go". I think that Stockard Channing made Lanie's decision for her by her actions!

By the way, Stockard Channing's part was small. but she was excellent - as always.
