The Lake House

apparently The Lake House hv copied this movie.*sigh

reply

It's not a copy it's a remake.

They can't make remake without the aproval of whoever holds the right to the original.

It's a Copy - The author is not credited - See the IMDB entry for the Lake House.

reply

imdb is just a movie fansite and people are allowed to edit or add info in.

According to various new sources (you can search for them easily), it is a remake of this movie.

reply

Saw The Lake House and they credit this movie and its director.

And yes, IMDb is just a fansite where no information on here is rock solid, although anything submitted must be referenced through a source that backs up any claim. So you could write a farce on some site or in a book and reference it, and the mod's might just change the lead in The Godfather to Martin Sheen (if'n you have some material that says otherwise).

The Lake House created the author in the movie. I noticed it quite clearly in the opening credits.

reply

The beginning credits in "The Lake House" stated "Based on the motion Picture 'Il Mare' directed by [director's name here]."

No book, just a Korean film

reply

Yes, the Korean film was well credited.

Love means nver having to say u r sory. What the..Just say u love and u won't be sory!

reply

The better word is adaptation. Not copy.Nor remake.

reply

The Korean movie was well-credited not only on the screenplay and the credits of "The Lake House" but in the movie itself. In fact,Alex and Kate were meeting in the restaurant called "Il Mare",the English title of the movie Siworae and the name of the house in the Korean movie :)

reply

If I had to choses which was better, I would have to say "No offense to Reeves and Bullock but this one is better", it was romantic even without the couple kissing or even meeting for a moment.

reply

Anyone who think that The Lake House or Hollywood copied are dumb ignorant. I'm tired of reading the same accusation again and again. Get over it. The original producers got PAID by Hollywood for the rights. If you're so mad that Hollywood made a remake, blame the Korean producers for saying yes to money.
