I *loved* the bubbling brook/stream/river in the centre of Gabriel (Gael Garcia Bernal)'s apartment. Can one really do this, though?
I would love to have one myself, I'd just be worried about the floor collapsing on my neighbours below! :(

heh, i really hope so, cuz I want one too. Some buildings have funky fountains and stuff so it seems possible to make a brook like the one in Gabriel's house... :/ maybe someone could have a little mini river if they were on the bottom floor or something? it would take alotta care i expect..

shareWeight is no issue, a water bed weighs much more per square inch than a little water.
All you need is a height difference and a pump to maintain a continuous flow. And I suppose you would also need to monitor the acidity and stuff is you want actual plant life in it like he had.
