Totally Barry (Henry Thomas)!! He's the sweetest and Luke (David Boreanaz) might seems perfect, but he isn't even in the beginning!! Remember how he turned off the radio when Lucy was singing!

Barry was the obvious 'nice guy' choice but I would definitely have chosen Gael Garcia Bernal (Gabriel)!!!

If I could spend the whole day in bed with him and talk about our 'energies'... that would be enough! The guy is absolutely sublime. That's why Lucy found it so hard to resist him!

Incidentally, that would also be my perfect date!

i would pick henry thomas(barry) for two reasons:
1. he was so sweet to her the whole time(except when they first met)
2. he looked like barry zito in this movie, and that's such a good thing!

if we didn't know anything about the characters, i would pick david boreanaz instead; he looked good in this movie, and just about every other time i see him.

I agree with you.

Number 1, John - I think he was a little bit boring

Number 2, Gabriel - thats a hard one..i would probably choose him

Number 3, Bobby - I would choose him to be a very good friend (like it is in the movie at the end)

Number 4, Barry - I think i would choose him. He is very nice, and this movie thing...oh.. :)

Number 5, Luke - I think he is some kind of a poser..writing poems to her, but yells at Lucy for no good reason. Also his talking is annoying, just about house, job, furniture...a very material guy.

I just watched this movie with my mum and enjoyed. I'm not usually a fan of the romantic comedy genre. I was glad she chose Barry. I thought he was the most sincere & friendly of all the guys - I kept expecting a plot twist to come into gear and reveal something sinister about him - but it didn't, which was good. This was a good movie. I wonder why it wasn't given a wider theatrical release.

I love David Boreanaz, and in real life he is totally awesome, but he was a jerk in the movie.

So I am going with John Hannah. I LOVE him. He is soooo adorable! He was all wrong for her character, but for me personally, he is just so cute and dorky! You have to love him!

Did you watch this movie? From the moment they met David (sorry - Luc) was an ass!
In real life David wins hands down. But in the role he played Barry !

ok i understand that he was an ass and barry was really sweet, but lucy was really mean to him and since they are both mean they make the perfect couple. In fact i change my mind i pick barry, but still she was an ass to him. My favorite part was when he when to like 8 different stores to find her allergy pills.

I watched this movie last night, FANTASTIC!!!!!
In rank order I would pick:
1. Henry Thomas (Barry), obviously. Loved the engagement ring/rollerblade scene.
2. John Hannah, lovely guy, Scottish accent, nice glasses
3. Antony La Paglia, really sweet guy, well suited to the friend
4. Gael, that guy is HOT
5. Bonearz (whatever), total jerk/loser with a really bad dye job.

Great movie-Monica Potter should be the next Julia Roberts.

hmm.. not many people have mentioned anthony lapaglia. i thought he was funny, with a nice genuine side. not my choice though...

i'd have to say either barry or doug. they were both sweet, with a slightly hidden sense of humour

BARRY ALL THE WAY...I'm watching it right now on Oxygen

He has a since of humor

She had him meet her parents (I think it was her first date with him)

What he did with the video on the street was soo sweet

He took care of her when she was sick (Remember he went to 10 different places to get the 4 hr relief allergy medicine)

AND THAT's WHY I PICKED BARRY

P.S She's a jerk for not picking him in the first place!

Definitely Barry, but I have to say that Bobby turned out to be much nicer than he was at first and Luke was a jerk all the way. I did like Doug, too, but it had occurred to me that, as David Boreanaz was Luke, his Angel castmate Alexis Denisof would have made a great Doug. Doug reminds me a lot of Wesley.

You had hints that Luke wasn't very nice from the fishing trip and the tennis game, but Barry was always genuine--and he got along with her parents, which is VERY important.
