who was that guy named Slim on the plane. that part confused me a bit. i just watched it the first time on Spike.

They sent these people tickets pretending they'd won a competition, so they would be on a plane at the right time, creating a diversion so they could escape on another. They sent the cop a ticket too, so the police would stop the wrong plane and it would reveal the cops involvement too.
Quite clever really, although I didn't really like the characters and thought they deserved to be caught.
