NOTE TO COLUMBIA PICTURES

I believe Columbia pictures was the studio behind 'Gridiron Gang' the feature with The Rock that was released this past weekend (Sept 15). This is a note to those in charge who may see this post.

A valuable idea for your marketing of the Gridiron Gang DVD would be this: include the original documentary, in its entirety, on the DVD. The best and most humbling part of the Gridiron Gang film was the end, when moments of the film were shown to be real dialogues, real happenings, real events, represented in real life word-for-word as they were on the screen moments previous. Whatever it takes to secure the rights to include the documentary on the DVD, it is my opinion, as a consumer and filmgoer, that it would be a wise choice to do as such. I know that I would dish out ten extra dollars if the original documentary was included on a DVD release of the film.

Thank you for your time.

"Unfortunately, the original 1993 TV documentary (also titled Gridiron Gang) is not currently for sale, nor is it available for viewing anywhere online. Although there is no official word yet, more than likely Sony will include the documentary with the Gridiron Gang DVD release. Sony probably didn't want to release the documentary on DVD at the same time as the film, for fear that people would opt for the more true to life documentary instead."

That doesnt make a lot of sense. I know for me Friday night lights was all the more rewarding an accomplishment as a film having included the actual players ,original footage as well as an update on each of the main players. I just bought the DVD of GG..sounds to me like Sony is jus playen the gougem game. Releaseone version basically bare for rental and then release Special Edition feat documentary. Its this exact bs tactic that encourages floks to rippen the xtra documentaryt and uploaden to shareware sites.
