I love this movie and watch it everytime it comes on...

i think when she asks the husband -- (when he's in jail) did you love me -were you ever in love w/me? -- The SOB just hung the phone up w/o answering her question... that is a load of crap, he couldn't even answer her that ONE question. I always wondered why he didn't answer her.... she was better off w/o him she raised her sons well - they became very intelligent young men and adored her for everything she did for them. He is a coward and doesn't deserve any love from his sons.

I like the intense acting done by both sets of brothers during & throughout the movie (younger brothers Erick Knudsen &
Michael Cera)(older brothers Aaron Ashmore & Will Estes) Shows the effect felt by all children when exposed to this type of abuse (mental anguish & anxiety). If I remember correctly one of the brothers (which one sorry?)continues with his anguish all the way into adulthood, never forgetting of forgiving his father for leaving them all in this situation.
