Hey WTF?

I bought the unrated special edition 2-disc set about 3 years ago. The disc with the movie itself has a problem (even though the disc surface is flawless); at around the 35 minutes point it freezes for about 8 seconds and then jumps to the 73 minute point, and then it plays fine from there to the end. The 2nd disc, which has the deleted scenes on it as one of the special features (even though the same scenes are in the unrated version on disc 1). The odd thing is that the deleted scenes are barely gory ones, except for one of them.
