the mri machine

When they were gonna put the kid in the MRI machine, Would she have attacked him while he was inside the machine or was she waiting inside already? because even though they just stopped him from going in there couldnt the monster pulled the kid inside anyway?

Logically, that scene is very flawed. How the hell did she get there? The whole room is lit up so she's couldn't get there while the lights were on. How did she know that he would be in there unless she was listening, which means she managed to find somewhere dark but then if she found somewhere dark, that would still mean she would have the hospital in darkness leading into the MIR machine.

The scene makes out that as soon as his whole body is in darkness she will get Michael. I always wondered why she never killed him, only his face was in the light she could have grabbed his legs and pulled him under

I seriously think you're pulling at strings just to criticize this film. Matilda exists in the dark. You learn this by paying attention to the movie. Any place that it's dark-she is there living in the darkness and the shadows. She can disappear in one place in the dark and appear in a completely different house as long as it's in the dark. She doesn't walk around like a human going from place to place and hiding in the MRI machine ahead of time-she's a spirit/a witch whatever. She can disappear one place and appear another. The flying away bits are only to get away from the person temporarily and then come back.

She was waiting until they put Michael in the machine completely. Because once he was in completely and the doctors and them couldn't see him anymore-then she could attack him all she wanted and they'd think Michael was doing it to himself. They are so graciously ignoring her existence, why would she want to let them know she was really there. Then they could attack her like their ancestors when they all realized she was real.

The only reason she did it in the police station is because Kyle was in the middle of the room and their were cops surrounding him. She shut the power out and took that opportunity while he was caged to finally capture him-she's actually a good strategist, but she was wiling to kill the cops if she had to just to get to him and taking the opportunity while he was imprisoned to finally end him once and for all. She was that desperate to capture him while he was caged and without a light to defend himself that she risked being seen by others and also went in front of different lights to get the cops to shoot at them so they'd take all the lights out for her.

There is a logic to the story-you just have to actually think. I'm glad the writers don't spoon fed us.

Right, not pompous at all then.

The film has flaws. All films have flaws. I like this film, I've seen it at least ten times but I'm not arrogant enough to ignore the flaws. I think you need to stop being naive and sensitive. Every film will have negative critism, learn to accept it and move on
