would this have been better with a different title?

This film is a terrible sequel to slap shot; no reggie dunlop and the hanson brothers are barely in it.

But it does make reference to some aspects of hockey that every true fan hates; compromising the game to make it more of sports entertainment than an actual sport. Any fan of the NHL knows gary bettman will use any gimmick he can to try and attract new fans including glowing pucks, goofy jerseys, and shootouts. In the movie they even play 2 halves instead of 3 periods which is something Bettman pushed for.
