Its not as bad

Its not a good movie but its not a bad movie its just okay. The script is very well empty. Not to mention Stephan Baldwins incerdinly bad Hockey Hair which I found out was his real hair at the time. Slapshot 2 should have never happened hopefully they will lay it to rest and leave it alone.

All I know is if I see 1 more massive orgy I'm moving to Tabet

I disagree, it's one of the biggest pieces of crap I've ever seen. The script is rotten and the acting is worse. The hockey scenes are unrealistic. Just garbage!!!!!

reply

i dont kno what the fuss is about, this movie was a very well made movie, baldwins acting was boarder line, but the overall movie was classic. the fight scenes were perfect. and what can i say...... its a cult classic

Well i was just diagnosed with mononucleosis, so im sitting at home all day watching movies, and being a huge fan of the original (and hockey in general) i decided to give it a try. I actually had a chance to meet Dave Hanson becuase his son played for the Tri-City Storm i believe (minor legue team), and he was there in the boxes when i met him.

The Hanson brothers should have steered clear of this film, becuase they them in such a bad way, and they tried to re-do that whole "the machine took my quarter" biff again on a Daytona machine, and it was just not as funny. It is like hearing a joke for the 100th time from somone you dont particularly like.

This movie made my mono only worse. But damn was the first one a classic!

Baldwin used Newman's "we're workin on it," line a few too many times for my liking. Once would have been enough, any more just kind of cheapens it.

I watched this movie once and while I thought it was okay I've never really had any desire to see it again. The original will always be one of my favorite movies of all time.

reply

It may not live up to expectations, but it was fun. I can watch it multiple times. I'm up for Slapshot 3.

A really really bad movie. Should of NEVER did a second and so many years later than the first. The acting is bad, the jokes are stupid, it just annoyed the living *beep* outta me. I hated everything about it.
and Slap Shot 2 is NOT a cult classic whoever said that, it's a piece of crap!

reply

this is the absolute worst movie of all time. anyone who acted in it should never be allowed to be on film again. who wrote it? where the 11 or 12 years old.

reply

Yep. The original is a classic. This one is a forgettable piece of garbage.

Having never seen the first one i saw this the other night about 12:00am and watched it as there was nothing else on. It was a pretty bad movie. Bad script, very average acting and a stupid ending where they somehow won the lottery. However it was watchable.

It made me laugh so it isnt all that bad. I don't think the movie should be taken all that seriously. It sure doesn't take itself too seriously.

Funny cheap jokes
Good looking if vacuous and dull actors/actresses
Some "hockey" better than a movie about sheep farming

I can not believe this has been described as the worst movie ever. I have sat through "Without a Paddle" and "Miami Vice" I can't for a second think that this is worse than either of those.

reply

Not a bad movie? Youre right-it was AWFUL! And, to the original poster on this thread-good spelling dere!

reply

Wow! I cannot think of any sport movie sequel whose performance fell farther from the original.....and that even includes Rocky. The ONLY scene from this movie that I enjoyed was the trivia challenge.
