So GOOD. One of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Watched it at snowobard camp...It had 20 people cacking up non stop, and walking around quoting it for days: Shred this bitch!, Gouge!, "Bad...karma", "What country are you from?...Uhh...Europe", "Are you one of those snowobarders?...Well, I prefer..Shredder." Maybe unintentinally funny, but still hillarious. A must see.

I liked Shredder, I so wanted Kimberly to survive though, I love the blonde slutty bitches In horror movie and she was certainly all of those three.

Oh, please don't kill me, Mr. Ghostface, I wanna be in the sequel! (Tatum from Scream)

Hilarious. We finally just saw it; my family has a vacation house in the Kellogg area (actually Wardner, about a quarter mile down the road from the Shady Lady, the bar that was used for several scenes in the movie), and Red Snow Productions rented our house for a month in 2003.

The dummy hanging from Chair 4 was the best.

That lodge was operational when I skied there in junior high. It was closed several years ago (I heard it was because of problems with the quality of the water supply that were too expensive to fix, but I'm not sure). The new lodge opened around 1990. The ski area is at www.silvermt.com.

so that was a real abandoned lodge? How great is that. Any more info on it? I liked Christophe's nude scene. The fact he ran around shirtless added three stars to my rating of the film.

Agreed.

I didn't "love" it....but it was definately entertaining, from a low-level B-movie point of view.

However, my view may be slanted since I watched it right after seeing Slumber Party Massacre II for the first time in a LOOOOONG time.....and that was probably one of the lamest crappy horror movies I've ever seen.....and I've seen a lot of crappy horror movies.

It was gold compared to most other horror movies out today. It actually worked somehow. I couldn't quit watching it. I think I was hooked in to see how the guy from full house could act now & I really liked the tension of Pike liking Cole but he didn't know it & I'd rather have the Pike type of girl than the preppy girl so I felt drawn in by that part of the story. I wish a girl would like me like that. I'll never happen.

Don't wander into abandend churches for Czakyr will grab you from underneath the watery grave.

As far a slasher movies go, this is one of my favorites...I own it and have seen it a few times...i think that one of the reasons I like it is that it knows that it's a teen slasher flick and it doesn't try and take itself too seriously...plus "Uh...Europe." made me crap myself

reply

Im with you guys...Shredder is one of my favorites. Im a "shredder" too and I love all the one-liners throughout the film..."Karma...Bad..You...", "OK he is NOT the killer!", "(pike)I normally charge extra for multiple piercings...(skyler)I have a coupon!" It's the perfect sit-back-with-your-freinds-and-laugh-after-a-long-day-of-shredding-movie!
I love the music lyrics too..."Somebody kill me put me outa my misery"-perfectly ironic! and the great "as far as i can tell im gonna rot in hell i dont care if its today i just wanna get laid."

Great music, great oneliners, entertaing, hot nude girls(and some male skin for the lady shredders too), one to watch over and over again. I only wish the actual boarding scenes were more like kirk's "out of bounds" ride...

It was entertaining. I didn't take it seriously at all so I think that's what made me some-what like it.

I found "Shredder" to be good, silly and enjoyably tacky Grade B low-budget slasher fun. I especially liked Holly Towne's brief, yet nice nude love scene and the assorted imaginatively gruesome murder set pieces (the hanging by scarf from a ski lift and the icicle impalement were definite highlights). It's no classic, but it was quite entertaining in an admittedly cheesy sort of way.

"Warren Oates died for our sins"

While the camerawork was rather nice, and some of the FX were decent, there really isn't all that much to enjoy with this film
