Movies about TV cartoons is usually a sign of a death rattle for the sho

I mean think about it, when Rugrats was on for almost seven years they started making these "newer" shows with different editing that started not doing so well they made the theatrical movie and brought along baby Dil. I guess they (like other shows) thought that maybe a new character could save them. When the ratings started to go down even more after Dil they made another attempt by releasing "Rugrats in Paris" where they brought along Kimi but still the show wasn't as good as what it use to be anymore so they tried one final attempt to make "Rugrats: All grown up" and released a third movie "Rugrats Go Wild" which they added "The Wild Thornberries" with them since that was another show that was suffering but in the end they finally cancelled it.

The Wild Thornberries started to go downhill about two years after they started on Nickelodeon so they made a movie called "The Wild Thornberries Movie" and when that didn't help they tried teaming them up with The Rugrats in another film called "Rugrats Go Wild" and still with no good improvements, that show was cancelled too.

In the mid-90's, Nickelodeon had "All That" and thought Kenan and Kel were so good together that they had their own show. But once again when both shows started to go down, they took a skit from "All That" and tried to make it into a movie called "Good Burger". Shortly after, Kenan and Kel's show was cancelled as was "All That" even though they tried to bring the show back with a new cast later on, it still didn't work.

Finally, when "Hey Arnold" started losing it's thunder, they made a movie for that show and it was almost immediately cancelled right after the movie was released.

It's sad that these movies were made as one final desperate attempt to keep the shows alive and remind the fans just how great they are but fail. The only movie that was based on a Nickelodeon show that did survive is "The Spongebob Squarepants Movie" and even then I think they keep Spongebob on because they've already cancelled so many other cartoons that this is the only one left that kids can watch on this network.
