I agree subaru this movie deffintly deserves more than a 4.5

I agree that the viewer needs to give this movie a chance. It will grow on you. It is full of adventure and comedy. And then add a dash of drama and suspence. I applaud the writers for making the storyline very plausible. You've got a family that has a true spirit of adventure ... at least the parents do. The Thornberrys like the continent of Africa and their youngest daughter Eliza is totally enthralled with everything Africa offers. However, Debbie their oldest has a valley girl attitude and doesn't share her younger sister's passion for everything Africa. I visited Africa when i was in the Navy and it was an unforgettable experience. The ship I was assigned to made a port call to Mombasa, Kenya. We spent a few days there and I had an opportunity to experience the culture.
In this movie the Thornberrys embrace the culture and take on each adventure regardless of the obvious peril.
