Overacting

Did anyone think Bonnevie was overacting here?
I myself am a big fan of Maria Bonnevie, but I think she
wasn´t very good this time. In Jerusalem she was astonishing but
as Dina she overacted.

I had never seen this woman act before, but for the movie she's in which was bizarre and moody I think she gave a perfect performance.

@movie-buff99:

You are SO right. What a relief bloddy hell I thought I was the only one. What a big casting mistake this woman was.. It was so overdone that it looked superficial - I didn't sympathise with her at all.

Why is everybody so lyrical about this movie? It was so much misery, tragedy put into 2 hours I felt I was watching a french Shakespeare adaptation... The english was awful. I had to rewind 3 times to hear what they were saying, even chinese immigrants speak better english.

The only 2 lights of this movie were the little girl - she did a terrific job, and the music, which was very original and full of passion.
