I must have been high when I was watching this but was the point that the little girl that he was calling wasn't his daughter?

When he said "What swimming pool?" is it because he didn't actually have a swimming pool at his family home?

Yes, that's what I assumed as well. He called the wrong number, he sounds like her dad, she sounds like his daughter.
