Theories on the missing char. from the first movie

Any theories what might have happened to the original movie's charachters? I mainly think of Steele and his sled team (Nikki, Kaltag and Star).

You would think that the sled team would now be totally on Balto's side (evidently) and Steele is no more the top dog in the dogs eyes (humans I don't know).
The sled team is however owned by humans and they make the decisions and maybe Balto wasn't included as a regular sled leader or even member but that doesn't really explain their absence.

When it comes to Steele I have no clue, humans wouldn't have the slightest idea what he did so they have no reason to drop him out. So the humans, unbeknownst, would include Steele in the team afterwards because he IS the original sled team leader and has won several races.

Why are they all gone? The sequels would be even more interesting had they kept even just 1 of these charachters (ok, the trio dogs from the sled team are "inseperable")

Then we also have Rosy. I am fine that she isn't a charachter that returned in the sequels (she did have a voiceless cameo in Balto III) since she was the center of attention in Balto. Still, I wouldn't have minded if she had a bigger part of the sequels. She is, after all, one of the few who see and loves Balto for the noble spirit that he is, something Balto always will need.

And, on a side note, why doesn't Balto live with Jenna and her family? I'm sure her human owners wouldn't mind having Balto now, especially since he is also the Town hero.

Could it be Balto's choice or are the humans (not Rosy) still so prejudicial and ignorant of his personality?

Well fred, I know it's been a long time since someone's response, but I have to agree with you in so many ways. As a Balto fan, I really enjoyed this movie. But I also think of Steele and his team too. Did they die? Did they move away? Are they even in the town Nome itself? That was very shocking. I also wanted to know why they didn't choose the same actors from the previous Balto movie. I really wanted Kevin Bacon, and Bridget Fonda to be Balto and Jenna's voices. They have the cutest lines on the first movie.

Oh...other than that, Rosy? Yeah, they should have at least showed her when they were selling the pups. Pretty sad..

Now, I don't know why Balto and Jenna don't live with each other. They mated...Like all dogs/wolves do. It's like Spider - Man. Some people like him, and some people don't.

Movie was okay. Out of 10...I give it a 9.

Jenna: Balto...
