Filmed in New Zealand ... apparently.

A bit ironic as New Zealand banned nuclear power 20 years back.

I only caught the end but I noticed it was filmed at Huntly Power station according to the credits.

Very ironic! New Zealand has always been nuclear free as far as electricity goes. They banned nuclear powered ships entering the ports over 20 years ago. Huntly was a coal powered station that was closed in the 80s.

New Zealand has never had a tornado either :D

imagine my surprise to be sitting at home one afternoon, flicking channels, and coming across a movie that was full of kiwi actors playing americans with horrible accents about a friggin twister doing some bullsiht to a nuclear plant. i could not believe my eyes, especially when Carl Lewis was on screen haha, that was awesome.
watching my country whore itself off for sihtty movies is hilarious

ummm and yes we have had tornados, quite a few, they always make the news here. but we just dont have any that compare to likes of the U.S and the tornado ally and what not, so its true that they arent particular destrustive but we do get them occasionally. they have in fact taken lives here, which hasa to make you wonder if you ever thought you would die whilst out in your shed in New Zealand, killed by a friggin twister haha, oh my.
