I don't care about John....

So I'm watching the aired episodes on youtube now and I'm only on the 4th episode, but I just don't care about John and what he is doing, which is kind of weird because he is the main character. I am very interested in Luke, Sophia, Tyler, Vivian, etc, but John just bugs me and I really couldn't care less about his search for Ruby. Does anyone else feel like this?

I agree, but I've never liked Lou Diamond Phillips anyway. I watched this show when it first aired, and Chiller recently ran all the episodes. Again, I'm most interested in Sophia/Mary Elizabeth Winstead, somewhat less interested in the wolfpack political struggles, and not at all interested in the Kannin/Ruby romantic saga. Although I like the show overall, it features two of my least favorite performers, Phillips and Scott Bairstow, whom I also can't stand. I also found Graham Greene's character annoying and often incomprehensible. Still this series had a strong cast with several well-known actors and a couple of talented up and comers in Winstead and Paul Wesley.

I just watched a marathon on syfy, never saw it before. The show had a heck of a cast. I think LDP was being set up to be a major character. In the last episode they faked him being the Alpha Wolf. He was drawn to Ruby for a reason. If the show was allowed to go on I bet he would have ended up becoming one of them. But then I always did like LDP.

I don't really care about John either. I'm more interested in Luke and Sophia's relationship.

I agree.

I think if they had continued his character might have returned to being interesting but most of what I liked about the show had to do with what Sophia was going through as she was being drawn in with the wolves.
