Is the beginning staged?
At the beginning when it shows the contestants talking to each other, do you think that is really real that they are genuinely talking to each other or staged? Because sometimes it looks really forced.

it's obviously staged. The contestants are told to huddle in one spot and pretend they are chatting about something interesting. They are also told not to look at the camera hovering nearby that is filming them.
Otherwise they would all be standing there looking at the ceiling like a group of people standing in an elevator or a bus stop.
