Was there ever an instance, in either the US or the UK version of the show, when the contestants DID earn the maximum amount of money by answering enough questions correctly in a row without banking? If so, how did Anne react to their success?

shareActually in the UK the maximum amount in a round is £1,000 and usually in the first round the questions are quite easy so a lot of ppl do get the target of £1,000 and annie just says something like "OK- you've reached your target of £1,000, now its time to ditch the deadwood... etc etc"

yes, usually in the first 2 rounds but i think on the 1000th ep they got it in the last round

I think Anne is fabulous. She reminds me if every elementary school teacher we all had. Cranky, snooty, condescending.... I bet in real life, sh'es a pussy cat. She didn't seem to mind when Frankenstein's monster pinch her fanny in the Halloween episode... And William Shatner also planted her a kiss and she seemed okay with that, albeit reserved.
