the Consistency of when John had his car accident in S3 ep3

they couldn't make up their minds when it was kept going from 7 years ago to 9 years ago,9 years ago would be right as we are now in S3,but then John kept saying when he hd crash in 95 then it would be 96 then back to 95 again got on my nerves lol.then the ambulance driver got asked a question by John:is this the same ambulance I got picked up in when I had the crash he said yea about 8 years ago but before that it was 9 years before after the crash don't think even the writer knew!did anyone else spot this?
