It said in one of the bonus features (can't believe I actually watched bonus features) that it's shot in Alberta, Canada. Don't know where specifically though.

As an Alaskan, I think everyone should know it's not Telketna, it's pronounced Telkeetna.

As a fellow Alaskan, I think everybody should know that the pronunciation of Talkeetna was about the closest that this movie got to any sort of accuracy. But I suppose that doesn't matter much. I always sort of enjoy these "Alaskan" movies that help to stereotype us to the rest of the country. They're fun. I especially like the movies where bears attack in the middle of winter. Those are great.

In the movie it was TOLKETNA - not Talketna. It would have been nice if they just called the town Talkeetna though - one of my favorite towns.
