3 titles - one movie

The original UK title of this movie is
"Mr. In-Between" and it has been released in the USA as "The Killing Kind". I own the german version of the dvd which is called "A murder ballad"

Which of these three titles fits the movie the most, in your opinion ?

I prefer "A murder ballad" to the other two.

MR IN-BETWEEN of course refers to the song "Don't mess with..." and seems to sum up Jon's character very well. But MURDER BALLAD (i.e. a reference to the Nick Cage album which features in the film) definitely sums it up well too.

I'll go with 'A Murder Ballad' too. And might I add that it was fantastic to hear those Nick Cave songs in the film. They fit so well. It was definately a pleasant suprise to hear 'And No More Shall We Part' at the end. Very fitting to the subject matter and feel of the film.

I think "Mr In Between" is the most apt title, because this movie isn't really about murder or even death. It's really about a person trying to find his place in the world, misconceived notions of love, and power/control.

I admit I like the sound of "The Killing Kind," probably because it reminds me of the Aerosmith song "Cryin'" and the lyrics:

"There was a time
When I was so broken hearted
Love wasn't much of a friend of mine
The tables have turned, yeah
Cause me and them ways have parted
That kind of love was the killin' kind"

This suits the movie real well as it's the love between a man and women that ultimately leads to them both being killed.

We're the A.P.B, and this thread is officially crashed.
