Len Cella is alive and well and working on the DVD.
Through Yahoo! People Search, my brother and I found his phone number and talked to him several weeks ago. He sent us a retrospective of his career as published in a cult movies magazine, which mentions other movies he has made, including one in 2002 called 'Crap.' As he told us over the phone, "It's a movie for people with pi$$-poor morals."
We also talked to him about possibly seeing his movies on DVD. He said he'd been working on it. My brother Eric and I are interested in filmmaking, production, and all that...Len said about the film/VHS to DVD transfer: "Boy, what a f-ing pain in the ass!" Both his film (some segments were shot on Super 8 film, others on VHS tape) and VHS have detoriorated over the years. Unfortunately.
If you look him up on Yahoo! People Search, you'll find his telephone number. He lives in Pennsylvania. He was flattered to hear from us, so I'm sure he'd love to hear from another fan of his films. Who knows? We may very well trigger a revived interest in 'Moron Movies!' Wouldn't that be amazing?
