Who Cares?
I can hardly believe this was written by the same person who wrote the excellent Milk (but then I'm sure Gus Van Sant, and contributions from those who knew the real Harvey Milk, helped that project).
This is so unbelievably amateurish and boring -- mainly because the entire story lacks any universality, and the characters are next to impossible to relate to in any meaningful way at all.
Mr. Black (thanks to Milk) proves himself a better writer than a director it seems, but not only is this film very poorly cast with very weak actors, it's just absolutely pointless and tedious to stay with it.
I was actually glad to see these people go when the film ended.
And coming out movies? They lost all relevance at least 15 years before this. The world's more sophisticated now. Coming out movies are parodied now, and rightly so.
