i just watched this movie last night . one thing i noticed was that there was a song played in the movie that i have never heard before. it supposedly takes place early ion their career. now i have been a lep fan since hearing on through the night way back in 82 but i have never heard of this particular song but i want it for my collection. does anyone know the names of the songs used in the movie? i know they play songs from hign n dry , on through the night, pyromania and hysteria and everyone knows the names of those songs but this one song is a unknown

Was it the TWO STEPS BEHIND song?

That song was out in the 1990s...

Hi there, Im in the same boat. That song they are playing when it shows the scene where they are recording and cutting their ep, it shows them packing the ep's in to boxes and a guy walking down the street listening to a walkman. The chorus line ...'riding into the sun..' keeps playing. I cant recall that song on drive on through the night.

"Ride into the sun" is the first single Def Leppard ever recorded, I believe. You can find the newest recording of it on the album, "Retro Active," which was released in 1993, I think. On that version, you'll hear Phil Collen playing the guitar parts.

jeffreydc is absolutely right. "Ride into the Sun" was a song on the very first ep they ever recorded and released. It was called the Rocks Off ep, and on the album On through the night they re-did the songs Rocks off and Overture.
But they wouldn't do anything with Ride into the Sun until they released one of their singles from Hysteria (I think it was the song Hysteria) when they re-did it so Phil Collen and Rick Allen could play on it.

Rick wasn't in the band at that point. They fired Tony Kenning and were without a drummer when it came time to record the ep, so they hired a guy named Frank Noon to play for it. Then Rick Allen entered the picture. The movie just skipped that because I guess it wasn't a pivotal moment in the band's career.

FWIW I prefer the original Ride Into the Sun to the version done with Phil. If you get a chance, search it out, you won't regret it.

are on make Make Love Like A Man single.

um... i had the same problem.... the song played at the end of the movie? I had to check the music store on that one and I believe its called two steps behind

Parts of "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" and "Photograph" were used for the band producing the albums.

The following Def Leppard tracks are featured in the movie. Some songs include newly added lead vocals or drums recorded by session musicians, most notably during scenes in the recording studio. The movie also includes an entirely re-recorded version of the early Def Leppard song "Getcha Rocks Off", which was recorded without involvement of any Def Leppard members.
