scream 4 eh. well maybe this could be thought of as.....
the movie getting ready to be watched at the end of scream 3. That seems like a way to see it.

At one point I'd heard rumored that Wes Craven had a Scream 4 in the works with Neve Campbell attached. Since then I've simply assumed that it was in some kind of production limbo but now that I've seen this film listed on IMDb I imagine things must've fallen apart (for one reason or another, as they so often do in Hollywood). Perhaps Final Stab was the unfortunate afterbirth.
shareNo, it isn't. It has nothing to do with anyone involved with any of the scream movies in any capacity. This movie was released in 2001 at which point there were no plans at all to continue the scream franchise. There is no scream 4. There is no fallout from a proposed scream 4 project. There is no connection, from production, writing, sound effects, make up, distributor, or even the caterers! It really is that simple.
