thanx mr depalma

i am the biggest brian depalma fan in the world. from hey mom to sisters to phantom of the paradise to blow out to dressed to kill to body double. then after a slew of terrible hollywood action movies in the 90's and 2000's ripped all faith out of me that Brian DePalma can still make awesome thriller movies. until femme fatal. maybe its no blow out, but its a right move. black dahlia sucked though....

yesss, im glad u mentioned that. i think rachel mcadams will b great in a de palma film. btw, i stumbled onto something pretty cool that you might be interested in. idk if you are aware of this, but when raising cain was released, the version we are all used to seeing was edited by the studio. originally de palma had an extremely different idea of how the film was supposed to be structured. so someone who worked on the film actually took depalmas original screenplay and re-edited it to the way de palma originally thought it should have been. there are no new scenes, they are just in a totally different order.

no problem. i had just found out about it yesterday. it actually makes a lot of sense, because i always loved raising cain but i thought it was just choppy. this version is much more refined and i think i like it a little better.
