Music during the heist - hot bathroom scene

Can someone tell me what that haunting music is during the jewel heist bathroom scene? is it Le Carnaval des Animaux ? much thanks

reply

I believe it is "Bolero," if I'm not mistaken.

reply

the music is called (in spanish) Bolero de ravel.

reply

It's Bolero. Ravel is the composer.

It IS NOT Ravel's Bolero, though it is obviously heavily inspired by it.
Then again, if you listened to both back to back, even a minute or two of each...
it would also be obvious that they are different. The music from Femme Fatale is by Ryuichi Sakamoto , only found on the soundtrack for the movie (as far as I've found), which is out of print. Saw a copy on ebay (3.14.09).

it is called Bolerish by Ryuichi Sakamoto. truly the only good thing in this film was that whole heist scene with the wonderful track playing throughout.

To be it sounds like a mimic of Ravels BOLERO. I have heard other movies and tv shows on occassion do mimics of famous musical scores but offhand I can't think of who has done this before at the moment.

It stunk whatever it was and was totally inappropriate for that sequence.

Bolero is a kind of music, see Wikipedia, there is also Bolero in Kieslowski's Red (from Preisner), there is of course Ravel's.

I came here wondering the same thing. Definitely Bolerish by Ryuichi Sakamoto https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ju4hVnrcOKo

Strangely, it's not listed in the IMDb soundtrack, despite being the standout track in the film.
