'The Lives of Others'?

I don't know, if anybody has seen this movie, (It won a 'Oscar' for best foreign language film recently) but isn't it strange, that the 3 main actors: Ulrich Mühe, Ulrich Tukor, Sebastian Koch appear in both movies, "Amen" and "The Lives of Others"? Do you think it was with purpose or just a coincidence (which i can barely believe)?

It's just coincidence.

They are just 3 very talented actors in 2 brillaint movies, that's it.

Damn the Lives of Others was good!!!

No, I bet it was not a coincidence. People enjoy working together and do so after projects.

well, it happens sometimes actors and directors work together many times for many reasons: if they are the best artists one can find in the same country - if a director see a good interpretation of an actor and wants to work with him/her - if they are friends - if someone suggests an actor-friend to a director (often its a clause of the contract imposed by a famous powerful actor)...and so on...

for example:
Ulrich Muhe and Ulrich Tukur were together for the first of the three times in "Das letzte U-boot", there was also Sylvester Groth, who worked with Muhe also in "Mein Fuhrer" - Ulrich Tukur worked again with Costa-Gravas in "Le Couperet" - Sylvester Groth worked in "Stalingrad" with Jochen Nickel, who was also in "Elefantherz" with Daniel Bruhl + Manfred Zapatka who was in "Das letzte U-boot" - and I think thank to "Stalingrad" Jochen Nickel and Sebastian Rudolph had a little role in a movie with great Ralph Fiennes, respectively in "Schindler's List" and "The English Patient" (before, they worked together in "Manta") - Ulrich Tukur and Daniel Bruhl are working together in "John Rabe" - Sylvester Groth are working with August Diehl in "Die Buddenbrock" - August worked with Daniel in "Was nutz die Liebe..." - Martina Gedeck of "Das Leben der Anderen" worked with Sylvester in "Romeo" ...etcetera etcetera... the list can continue...I'm happy those between my favorite German actors worked together!

I must to confess to you: each time I have the curiosity to find out why one of my favorite actors is chosen to join the cast of a movie.
