Sam

If you can recall. When you first watched the film, did Sam seem odd to anyone else/

Idk. Probably just me, but sometimes, the cuts to Sam seemed a bit eerie.

Like these shots, particularly the 2 on the right-hand side.

I liked Sam, and I am glad he lived. I just heard of this film this past month, and watched. So, I still remember getting odd vibes from our Sammy.

One of the things I liked about this movie is that the dog lived. In just about every single horror movie, if there's a dog in it, that dog gets killed. The instant I saw Sam the dog, I was like "oh God, the dog is gonna die isn't it". Of course the fate of the first dog at the beginning of the film did nothing to dispel that worry. But to my surprise, at the end, the dog made it out alive.

Anyway I thought that was cool. I hate seeing dogs die in movies. Oddly, seeing people die in movies doesn't bother me (in principle, anyway, though of course one can get attached to and care about some characters). But dogs are, I don't know, more innocent. And i'm a dog-lover anyway. So seeing dogs die bothers me more.

Oh, the pictures wouldn't load for me by the way. I just thought that since the thread topic was Sam the dog, i'd post my thoughts on the dog surviving the movie.
