Horribly directed

Neil Marshall should be ashamed of himself and be embarassed to have his name connected to such a rubbish movie.

reply

It is his best film.

reply

Actually his best film is The Descent, Dog Soldiers is a mediocre movie (that goes on too long) and his other films are garbage.

reply

I liked this better than the Descent.

reply

So did I, michael-watkins, so did I. Much better. It is a matter of opinions and personal humor/tastes.

reply

But...they are literally the same movie. Just one's in a cave. They're as good as each other, because they are the same.

reply

Opinions....
Everyone's got one....
Great Movie!
I loved Dog Soldiers!

reply

The directing was definitely a little 'off' when compared to Marshall's latter work. The opening scene alone shows how much Marshall improved when he made The Descent.

reply

Agreed. This felt like Michael Bay directed it. Hard to believe it's the same guy that went on to make the vastly superior The Descent.

WTF? This guy did The Descent? That was a excellent movie! What a contrast. I now see that he also did Centurion, which was a pretty decent movie. Hard to believe it's the game guy.

You are incorrect- DS is a gem, and his best film. The Descent is drek.

Even a man,who is pure of heart, and says his prayers by night...

reply

i was never a fan of the descent, dog soldiers is a unique low budget werewolf film thats vey fun to watch.

reply

This is a great movie. I have watched it 1000x times.

reply

This is a FANTASTIC movie.

And then he directed Doomsday. Um . . . .

You get my point.

reply

I agree Dog Soldiers is a fantastic movie but I haven't watched Doomsday so I really can't comment on that.

reply

If you think this is poor you should watch the rest of his filmography barring The Descent (2005).

This is a great werewolf film. One of the best of all time I'd say. The only one I can think of that I'd consider better is The Howling (1981).

reply

it jumps around too much.
