SPOILER: parallel drawn at beginning and end

One of the nice things was how it took the entire movie to draw a parallel between the Vietnam War and the action going on with the mafia trying to control the activity in Australia, in that everyone eventually recognized how fruitless it was. Two different characters said the same thing: The only way to win is to kill them all. At the beginning of the movie, one character says it about Vietnam and the movie ended with a different character saying the same thing about the mafia trying to break into Australia's illegal activities.
