More Evil Than Adolph Hitler-Ed Jagels

I remember when this movie aired in 2001. Let me warn anyone who has not seen it yet, it will anger you like no other. I remember throwing a glass at the wall while watching this movie. There's a special place in hell for the people involved. These frauds are right up there with the most evil that lurk the planet.

The person most responsible, was the District Attorney for Kern County, Ed Jagels. He had just been elected when this witch hunt was going on, it was the perfect opportunity to boost his ratings.

More info about him. He retired in 2009. And believe me, there's not much good info written about him. He was not well liked, except for his chronies. Sean Penn assassinated his character pretty well. If you take a good look at this guy Jagels, he looks like a stoned cold evil sociopath.

Hard to believe this happened in the early/mid 80's. What's even more sickening about this tragedy, is even when all the falsely accused convictions were overtuned, Ed Jagels felt no remorse about his decisions from years ago. Disgusting!

To make more matters worse, he was re elected 6 more times after the improper investigation. His elections were paid off by corruption I'm sure. Or there are some very brainwashed or very stupid people. Jagels should have spent his life in prison for these horrendous acts.

My prayers go out to all the families who went through this horrible tragedy. There are things that just can't be undone. Lives were ruined and will never be the same. I can't imagine what it was like for them the day(s) when they were arrested knowing they did nothing wrong. And all those years spent in prison fighting for justice and their lives.

Shame on Kern County. And shame on higher ups for not prosecution all the parties involved.

I have to agree with you, I am equally disgusted at what happened. The worst part is that even after the accused were release from prison, the damage has already been done.

First of all, where did you get the name Ed Jagels? That's not anywhere in the cast list in character names. Or did they use different names for the characters as opposed to their real names?

Second, where the heck do you get Sean Penn? He wasn't in this movie.

Ed Jagels was not an actor. He was a REAL person and a prosecutor in Kern County, CA who put 25 innocent people in prison for child abuse. Google him and read for yourself.

Unfortunately, that's pretty much the way the prosecution system in the US works. My dad had a friend who was a prosecutor, and he left in disgust after doing it for several years. He always said they don't care about someone's guilt or innocence, they only care about getting a conviction, and the system is designed to favor the prosecution.
